My name is James Rhoads (2021) and I am currently a Junior at Wilson High School in West Lawn, PA (6A School). I am 6'0", 150 lbs. and a right-handed hitter and fielder. My primary position is first base, but I play right field as well.
I have been playing baseball ever since I was old enough to play t-ball. One of my fondest memories was helping my Little League team win the 2012 championship game. I continually strive to improve not only my baseball skills and abilities, but also my knowledge of the game. During the off-season I stay active by playing basketball for my local intramural atheltic organization. This not only helps me to stay in shape, it also allows me to develope other skills that I can transfer to the baseball field.
Playing baseball has not only helped me grow as a person, it has also helped me learn more about myself. One of my proudest moments was when I received the 2015 City County Baseball League's Best Teammate Award. I was nominated for this award by my coach and teammates. Receiving this award not only helpded me learn the value of commitment and teamwork, it also instilled in me the importance of always being there for the team.
I am looking to be a part of a program that is a good fit both athletically and academically. Education is very important to my family and me. I consistently maintain a GPA above 3.0, and have been an honor roll student throughout junior high school and high school. I believe I possess the character and work ethic that will allow me to compete and the college level, as well as be of value to any program.
