Baseball has been my passion for as long as I can remember. My fondest memories from my childhood were always going to the ball fields with my parents and watching my older brother play. Being brought up in a baseball family, I fell in love with the game at a very young age. Growing up in a town where baseball was the most competitive sport around, I began to eat, sleep, and breathe baseball since the day I stepped on the diamond.
Ever since little league, my work ethic has always been something that I take tremendous pride in. I thrive through repetition and am absolutely in love with the grind that comes with being a high level baseball player. For that I must thank my father and brother, who both push me every day to be the hardest worker in the room, and have supplied me with countless ground balls and rounds of BP.
My work ethic has benefitted me throughout my entire baseball career, but most prominently during my rehabilitation process after injuring my back. At the end of the showcase season two years ago, I was informed that I had a serious injury that would require extensive rehab and months without baseball. This news crushed me, but I was told that I could absolutely make it back to 100%, it would just take some dedication and trust in the process.
After months and months of grueling physical therapy and training sessions, I was able to make it back for the start of travel ball last summer and had a successful season. I could then and can now say that I am back at 100% and in the best physical shape of my life, due to the training that was needed to recover. During that summer, I was able to reclassify into the Class of 2021 at Portsmouth Abbey School, and throughout the entire offseason I primed myself for a junior year that I would remember forever. Unfortunately that was stripped from me as well, along with the rest of the high school baseball players around the country. During the pandemic though, I have managed to still get my daily reps in and keep in shape for the summer season. I am praying for baseball to return soon, and I am sure all my fellow ballplayers are as well.
