Nate Thompson '21 Recruiting Profile

I am a 2021 outfield/middle infield player that attends Richland Northeast High in  Columbia, SC.  I am a natural born athlete who has played a number of sports/positions throughout my high school years, however, baseball is my passion.  The game has taught me mental toughness.  I have grown personally and physically  with the high and lows of the game and come to understand the game will away give you a chance at redemption. These are lessons that I am taking within me into my day to day life as i start the next chapter outside of high school.  

Also, I have had the opportunity look beyond my personal preferences  and do what is best for an entire team/program.  I have played numerous positions as needed by my team and coach.  I prefer the outfield, however I, will be playing infield this year because that is what my coach/team needs from me.  This is just another example of how baseball has provided me more lessons that just the ability to play the game I love.

I have the confidence and ability to play baseball at the next level.  I am a hard working student-athlete.  I am looking to play for a program/coach that expects 110% from their players and values the lessons of baseball outside just talent like I do.
