Hello I'm Asher Smith. My initial collegiate goal is to achieve a BS in forestry related studies. I love the outdoors and plan to have a career that allows me to spend most of my time there. I have a strong work ethic and I am a determined athlete. I have been raised to respect authority and leadership. I'm known for my positive attitude and being coachable. I'm known for doing what it takes to put the team first and win. I will all but kill myself to meet the coaches expectations. I'm a hard working and aggressive catcher with a strong situational awareness with the ability to lead on the field with above average pop times. My 60 speeds are average but I'm lifting weights three days a week and getting stronger and my speeds are improving. I'm a all around utility ball player and can play where ever the team needs me. I'm an outstanding batter with a history of being in the top 3 batters on my teams. I always have an outstanding OBP due to my ability judge pitches, placement hitting and willingness to not give up the batters box. I'm also known as a great hitter in clutch situations and I typically have top RBI stats. Although I have to sell myself here I'm also known as a humble and respectful athlete. I do struggle at times with my school work but I'm getting better all the time and I have a determination to be successful in school.
