Since I was old enough to walk and talk, I have loved baseball. My first word was ball and I would make anything I could into a bat and ball. And I have lived it everyday of my life. Since I was old enough to know about college baseball, I wanted to be able to go and play. Working very hard over the years I am a 6-year, 3-sport athlete.
One of my biggest obstacles was my Freshman year. I was on our JV team and was pulled up just to play some preseason games. On those games I was able to excel and show I deserved a position on Varsity. The day before our regular season was to start our Head Coach resigned and we were not sure what was going to happen. Our Assistant Coach stepped up and had confidence in me to be a starting first baseman and outfielder. I led the team with hits and received the offensive award that year. I also was named to the All-Rookie team from the SC Sports Report.
Our town did not have a Junior Legion team, so I decided to go to our nearest town and try out for their Legion team to be able to show my potential from larger schools. I made this team as a Freshman and was a starting first baseman. My endurance and lessons I learned my freshman year have pushed me to be a leader and lead my teams my Sophomore and Junior years.
