Baseball is my passion and it is all that I have known since I can remember. I aspire to attend a high academic college while continuing to play baseball at a collegiate level. One trait that sets me apart from other athletes is that I have been able to find a good balance between academics and athletics as evidenced by my GPA of 5.1. I have taken all honors and AP classes throughout high school. I was awarded the school-wide diligence award as a freshman for my hard work and dedication in the classroom. I am also a member of the National Honor Society. When it comes to being successful in life, I believe that my performance in the classroom is just as important as my performance on the field. I hope to continue my success academically by attending a high academic college while still pursuing my passion for baseball. Another trait that separates me from other athletes is my Christian character. In Colossians 3:17, the Bible says "whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus" and this is the foundation on which I choose to live and play. I believe that, while many athletes have been gifted with abilities that will allow them to play at a collegiate level, I have been gifted with that ability and choose to also use this ability to glorify God. By aspiring to live a Christ-centered life every day, I am a better person, player, teammate, student, son, role model, and Christian.
