Xavier Hobert '26 Recruiting Profile

Hello, I am Xavier Hobert from Hoven South Dakota. I am currently 16 years old and just started my junior year of high school at Hoven High School. being recognized by colleges has been a struggle especially with both of my parents not going through the recruiting process themselves. My school doesn't have fall or spring baseball and I play for a legion team 40 minutes from where I live. We are becoming a very successful team and won our region and got 7th at state for 14u. This last year we swept our region and finished 4th in the state for 16u. This year I participated in the VFW 16u all star game. 2 years ago I was also selected to play at the all-star game but could not attend because I was on a baseball trip with my dad and uncle. I have been a captain all of the 4 years I have played there and I pride myself on my versatility as a leader and as a player. Last year I played multiple positions such as pitcher, shortstop, third, second, first, catcher, right, and center. I feel being versatile is a great thing to have because it opens up my knowledge of the game. I feel I have a strong knowledge because I was exposed to baseball as early as I can remember. I have been playing baseball since I could walk and started pitching to my dad when I was 4.
