When I think of myself, I don’t look for my value in my grades, my sports performance, or how many friends I have. I think of myself and my family and how we respect and treat each other. I want to always be my best version to my family because they are my top priority. My character is a reflection of my and my family’s work.
I remember the day my mother signed me up for a recreational baseball league. I was six years old and extremely excited! Ever since my first practice, I had so much fun with new friends. Running around on a baseball field... there's nothing like it. That’s when I knew I fell in love with the sport.
While playing baseball, I’ve learned that I have great leadership qualities. Knowing this has given me the courage to step up and lead in more than just sports but out in the real world as well. I’ve also discovered through this sport that your attitude is contagious. When others are down, I try to lift them up by encouraging them and providing hope.
Grades are very important to me. They describe my work ethic. I love to keep myself to a high academic standard because it reminds me to be consistent in my efforts and benefits me in the long run.
Coming from a divorced household and dealing with struggles resulting from that has made me a more resilient and stronger person now. I am steadfast, loyal, and have enormous empathy and I always feel obligated to be there when others need assistance. I build everyone up. I’m the first one to give a high-five to celebrate a good play. I’m the last one to leave practice because my team counts on me, and I am competitive. I like to win.
At my school, I am able to participate in a discipleship program and play multiple sports. In the fall, I play quarterback and middle linebacker for our football team, and I swim in the winter to get in shape for baseball season.
The TAP assessment accurately suggests I am a Musketeer and Maverick. My goal isn’t just to get on a roster. My goal is to play at a high level for a top college program that shares my desire for family team culture and desires to win.
My name is Kyle Mabie. I represent Evangelical Christian School class of 2025. My primary position is 1B. Sometimes you can find me at 3B, the outfield or catching. My GPA is 4.0. Thank you for reading about me. I’d be honored if you would keep in touch.
