Tanner Jarvis '23 Recruiting Profile

I fell in love with sports, specifically baseball before I was ever even allowed to play on an organized team. When I was two years old I broke my femur and many people wondered how it would affect me. My resiliency, hard work, and adaptability was quickly shown, which allowed my recovery to go smoothly and go by quickly in 6 weeks. My parents were able to easily entertain me and I was able to continue being active despite being in a full body cast. I am also thankful for anyone who is willing to put in work with me. I have been blessed with some great instructors throughout my years. The 3 characteristics that were shown of me at a young age, are still with me today on the field.

I am recognized as a good leader on the field and in the classroom. I have received recognition on my previous baseball teams as being a good teammate and leader. I’m active in my youth group and get asked to lead other extracurricular activities to improve my leadership. I was able to be called up to play with my school’s high school baseball team as an eighth-grader and actually ended up being a starter and was able to pitch. My freshman season was an unfortunate obstacle that we had to face when it was cut short due to Covid-19 Pandemic, but luckily was able to get more baseball in during the summer. My academic goal in High School is to finish with all A’s throughout all four years and continue my good grades into College and to remain a good student-athlete. I am thankful for any college that will give me a chance to make a difference in their school’s baseball program.
