2023 SpotlightPersonal Statement
I have been obsessed with the game of baseball for as long as I can remember but wasn't able to play it till I was 10 due to being blind in my left eye. At 10 my eye had gotten better and with contacts I was able to play. Due to my late start I had to work harder than everyone else to get where I am today.
During my sophomore year I had become one of the better hitters on my team. But my coach already set certain spots for other people. There was not one spot I could start at consistently. Due to this I learned to play every position. You might think I learned the most during this year but I would say I did during my Junior year. I had a rough start due to playing through injuries which led to mental issues. After using mental training and making swing adjustments I turned my season around.
