At age four, my dad began teaching me to play baseball and basketball (he played college football, baseball and ran track). Both sports have become my passion. Through sports, I learned the value of commitment, hard-work, goal setting, and visualizing success. Four years ago, these values were evidenced by my Middle School Basketball Coach which named me the "Most Valuable Player" on my 8th grade basketball team! Three years ago (2018/2019 season), as the starting point guard on my JV High School Basketball team we played in a Varsity tournament and I was selected to the "All Tournament Team" by the other five coaches (averaged 17 points/game). This is the highlight of my basketball career thus far! Currently (2020/2021 season), as a Junior, I was the starting "shooting guard" on the Varsity basketball team averaging averaging 10 points/game and made the District 4-5A - All-District 2nd Team in Basketball. I also made the District 4-5A - All-District 2nd Team in Baseball as well in 2021. My Senior year in basketball, I made 1st Team All-District, team won District Championship for the 2nd consecutive year, had game high of 35 points & I was selected to the All-Tournament Team during the Raising Canes Basketball Tournament in Dec. 2021!
On June 29, 2021, I was selected to the Baseball Factory 2022 Pre-Season All-American Team! The Under Armour Baseball Factory organization selected me to play in the June 18-20, 2021 "All-State" Tournament in Houston, TX. During the July 23-25, 2020 Texas Premier 16u State Championship Baseball Tournament I was selected to the "All-Tournament Team" (32 teams)! Spring 2018, my travel team coach named me "Most Valuable Player" of our tournament in Waco, TX for my pitching performance. As a Freshman & Sophomore (2018/2019 school year), I was the starting left fielder on the Cooper High School Varsity Baseball team. During the summer of 2020, I played on a select baseball team as the centerfielder (Texas Angels) and was clocked at pitching speed of 87 mph (FB) & 74 mph (CB). During the Fall I played with the DFW Twins Select Baseball Club as the shortstop. I pitched for both teams as well. The 2021 baseball season will be my 3rd year as a Varsity starter. Finished my Senior year (2022) being selected the MVP of the Big Country FCA High School Baseball All-Star game!
My parents, both of which went to college, have impressed upon me the importance of education. At this point, I am interested in pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering or Business.
This year I am a Junior at Cooper High School in Abilene, TX. I am VISUALIZING SUCCESS in my personal life, the classroom, on the diamond and on the court!
My ultimate goal is to obtain my college degree and play one or both sports in college.
One goal accomplished, signed NLI to play baseball at Southern Arkansas University on November 10, 2021! Let the work begin!
