My mother is my role model. She has battled and beaten breast cancer that also went to her bones. She was the one to instill the love of basketball in me since I was able to hold a ball. As I have grown older, that love has only intensified. When a person has told me that I wasn't good enough to do something, I have proven them wrong time and time again. Being a basketball player has been such a huge part of me for so long, that it permeates every part of my being. The mental aspects of the game are something I love, and that which most people hate. I love the "chess" and the thinking that goes on during a game.
I have been blessed to be a starter every year of my High School career, and now that I have accomplished that goal, my next one is to play in college, and use that as a tool to help me obtain a college education. In the years I've played in High School, I try to be all I can be to lead our team and help guide and mentor other players. I strive to find ways in which I can better myself in everything I do, never being satisfied with "good enough". I hope to prove to you that I will quickly become someone you can count on, and be a leader on your team as well!
Thank you for your time.
