Hello, my name is Connor Duer. I am going into my senior year at Aledo High School in Texas. My football team and baseball team both won the 4A State Championships this year. My dream, however, is to play baseball at the next level while earning my degree from a highly acclaimed academic university. I have played club ball since I was 8 years old. I always strive to be the best at what I do; whether it be academically or athletically. I also participate in many activities outside of baseball and school. I am in the National Honor Society at Aledo and volunteer my open hours through many services in my community. My favorite, thus far, has been Challenger Baseball, where I got to assist special needs kids while playing and learning the game of baseball. I have also been able to maintain a high GPA throughout my very busy high school career. I have been a two year starter on the Aledo High School Varsity baseball team. My sophomore year I was awarded with 1st team All District as an outfielder while leading the team in batting. My junior season I received 2nd team All District Outfielder and was named to the All Tournament Team at the State Tournament. My wish is to find a college that not only has a good baseball program, but is also known for its outstanding academic programs. I don't have a specific preference on any type of college or location, as long as it is suitable to me.
