Academics and baseball are my life. At this point in my journey, I focus exclusively on these two endeavors every day. I feel I have the skills and personality traits to be a valuable member of a college team and school environment.
Though I won't be 18 until the end of April, I am already 6'2"/180, and doctors say I have even more growing ahead of me. Coaches always comment on my 20" wide shoulders, 75" wing span, and large hands. I am dedicated to a daily baseball-specific workout program and continue to put on muscle and gain strength which will translate into even greater velocity on my lefty fastball. My coaches will be happy to tell you about me as a person, teammate, and player. In various sports, I have been named captain of my team and awarded other leadership positions.
I excel academically (4.0 GPA), have already been accepted to three universities (including Baylor), highly respect my school's Christian environment and teachings, perform community service regularly, and have served on two mission trips to help those in need. My faith, morals, and values are very important to me. My college goal is to contribute to a team in a meaningful way, both on and off the field, while earning my master's degree in business.
