Since I was little my parents taught me how to work hard to get what I want. As the oldest of 3 children, I saw my parents work hard to give us the best life possible. Seeing them overcome hard times and money troubles helped shaped who I am today.
Baseball gave me something to work hard for and compete in to be the best. I was not the best student growing up and I frustrated my parents on a daily basis, but baseball allowed them to teach me how to work hard. It also taught me how to earn the things I wanted through hard work. I learned how to overcome things that I thought held me back and how to push through difficulties in order to continue my dream of playing baseball in college.
As an athlete I am trainable and coachable. I will play where the coach needs me to help my team win. You won't find a bigger cheerleader from the dugout than me. I am loud and outgoing and get along with most people I meet. At the end of the day, I will do whatever is asked of me to win the game. Hit a double in the gap, sac bunt or get the last three strikes to close the game out - just give me the opportunity to win. Baseball is the dream - how far can I go as a player is what I am working hard for.
