My goals and aspirations on the field are to not only play at my best level but also to help my fellow players put their minds into positive thinking, learning from others, and to be "talkative" on the field so others will be aware of what and where the play is supposed to be. I'm not mean or strict in an infuriating way, but I do expect better from the ones that I know can play well. When one teammate has been brought down, the entire team is sometimes affected. At the high school level, when plays aren't made on the field, many times players' minds tend to head into the negative direction. This is when I show my leadership by encouraging my fellow teammates. I remind them of previous comebacks and tell them that the game is not over until we finish the last inning. Leadership and positivity are characteristics that coaches have complimented me on, and it is what I would bring to any team.
Academics is important to me, and my goal is to attain a degree in the business field. Another critical component to success is to be well-rounded; being able to show versatility in talent and abilities. I have been a student athlete for as long as I have been in school. I have also been an active community volunteer and saxophone player for several years. I have managed to multitask academically and live a fulfilled life. I am adaptable and reliable. I am clear on my priorities and baseball is definitely at the top. Overall, I believe my experience managing multiple responsibilities and activities have prepared me for college as well as life. I aspire to use my baseball talent and to further develop at a school that will allow me to write new stories of success. Thank you!
