I have played multiple sports from the time I was four years old: basketball, football and track. I enjoyed playing all of those sports but baseball has always meant something more to me. I love every aspect of the game of baseball; from the grind in the weightroom, the cages, practice, to studying the game and improving my baseball IQ. I wasn't naturally good at baseball but I have asked for feedback and fought for my time on the field and the successes I have had. Another reason I love baseball is being a part of a team and working together to reach a common goal. I take pride in coming together with my teammates and helping each other get better. That’s not just something I do on the field, I also enjoy helping people in school and in my community. I’ve realized that I learn new things from others that I can apply to my life. I take my academics and performance in school very seriously as well. I believe I am well rounded with a mix of Advanced Placement classes and participation in choir and other elective classes. I like taking AP classes because of the depth of the learning and critical thinking necessary to succeed. I want to continue to take classes that will challenge me academically but also allow me to learn about a wide variety of topics. Finally, I believe that the best characteristic about me, in sports and in life, is that I know even when I reach a goal there’s always somewhere I can improve. I’m continuously striving to make myself a better athlete, a better student and a better person.
