Stuart York '22 Recruiting Profile

I have accepted an appointment at the US Military Academy at West Point. I look forward to combining my college dream of majoring in Engineering and playing baseball.

I play pitcher (starter or reliever) and work the corners of the infield. Coaches tell me I have a first-rate curveball and to throw it in any count. Command of my pitches, control of the count, and management of game situations are why I was selected for a roster spot on Team USA 18U for the Latin America Baseball Classic this July.

I have an interest in combining high-achieving academics with the furthering of my baseball career. After attending my first prospect camp, I came away with an understanding of what it takes to be successful at the college level. College baseball requires year-round dedication both on the field and in the classroom. I am ready to make the commitment to the effort, time, and discipline expected on a college baseball team.

I have taken the ACT three times and my Superscore composite is 35. My interest in Latin and history is leading me to explore the Classics. Combined with my strengths in math and science I’m looking to select a school that offers an excellent learning environment on the diamond and the major I pick.
