Roberto Petitto '14 Recruiting Profile

My name is Roberto Petitto, and I graduated in June 2014 from Cypress Woods High School in Cypress, TX. I am 6'0” and weigh 185 lbs. I am a middle infielder, but I can play third base with confidence too. I am a very good right hand hitter with strong contact power to all fields especially right-center and right field.

I have been playing baseball for 12 years now. I have been a player in my High School Team since my freshman year and in 2013 I earned a spot in the Varsity Team. This spring I played the entire season as the starting 2nd base for my HS team. Our team did not make it to the district playoffs, but we played extremely competitive in one of the toughest districts (Region 3 / 17-5A) in the Houston area, which has two TX state champions and two top 25 nationally ranked teams. Last summer and fall I played for the Texas Bandits. My coach Robert Manuel and my teammates considered me the team captain because of the good energy and enthusiasm that I projected in the dugout and on the field. I started at SS every game and showed my talents as a middle infielder and earned my spot as cleanup hitter. This summer I am playing for the Hunter Pence Baseball Academy.

In addition to the hard work that I put on baseball, I am also a very good student athlete who works hard in his studies. My current GPA and SAT scores are in my profile.

I have a passion for math and finances and this is why I want to pursue a degree at the college level in business management / administration.
