To whom it may concern,
My name is Benjamin Josiah Matthews. I live in Plano Texas. I attend and play varsity as a freshman At Parish Episcopal School of Dallas. My varsity coach is Tommy Hernandez (Dallas Tigers owner) My priorities are God, family, education, and baseball in that order. I have formally been trained as a pitcher, short stop, and as my dad says a utility player that can play any position to include catcher. My love is pitching and middle infield.
I intend to pursue sports medicine as a career, with all intentions of playing professional baseball if given the opportunity. I have played organized and select baseball since I was six years old. Upon reaching the age of 10 I was classified as a select majors player both in Texas and southern California. I have played 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U, and 14U majors as a starting pitcher and short stop. I have always played up by one year. The clubs that I have played with that are most recognizable are the Dallas Tigers and The Frozen Ropes (McKinney Texas)
My intent is to play baseball at a Division 1 school but I am open to all good baseball programs that I can contribute to and that can assist in my goal of reaching the show (MLB).
I look forward to talking with you and discussing the opportunities to use my skills to be whatever the coach needs me to be.
