My name is Tony Ayers, I am from Dallas, TX and I am personally writing to (Coahes) because of my interest in playing baseball in College. I've played varsity baseball on my High School team since freshman year and I have worked really hard to become the player I am today and i continue to work hard day in and day out, and I consider myself a five tool player with speed, power, discipline, character, leadership, work ethic, and dependable.
Just to tell you a little about myself. I am an Outfielder and Infielder, I also pitch in the most critical games. My freshman year, I was named pitcher of the year, averaging about 2 strikeouts an inning, My Sophomore year I was named Offensive MVP and Pitcher of the year, hitting about 350. My Junior year I was named Offensive MVP, MVP of the district, and Pitcher of the year, with a batting average of 600. These past 4 years I have worked extremely hard, from staying hours after practice, to going to baseball facilities every day to work on my game and improve my skills. I contribute a lot to my team, I contribute leadership in teaching and helping younger guys about the game of baseball, I contribute motivation to my team by lifting my team up even in the worst of situations, showing my team that no matter the situation, you have to keep the same attitude and will to win no matter the score.
As a student I am, hardworking, focused, engaged, involved and academically stable. I currently obtain a GPA of 3.0 and scored an 830 out of 1300 on my SAT's. I am currently studying and plan on retaking the SAT in April. My goal is to score a 1200 or above on the SAT. I am also a member of the Junior Chefs club in the Culinary Department. We give back to the community by cooking meals for younger children, we also teach the younger children about different styles of cooking and different meal plans they can follow.
I was recently scouted by the Rangers and my plans for 2017 are extremely high, I plan to be named Offensive MVP for the third consecutive year , I plan to be a number 1 prospect in the state of Texas, to be selected in the draft is great, but I plan to go on to play college baseball to further my education as well as my baseball career. I am currently putting together my recruiting video and I hope that you can see me play. Below I have included the link to last years achievements. If there is anything I can do to help you decide whether I might be a good fit for your program please don’t hesitate to ask. I will follow up with you soon by phone and if you have any further questions I look forward to answering them for you.
