My name is Houston Schoonmaker and I'm a 5'9", 195lb. Junior, Utility Infielder, from Hawley, Texas. I have started for our Varsity baseball team since my Freshman year. I have played 2nd base, Shortstop, 3rd base, Catcher and Pitcher. A lot, I know. I feel like I can excel at any of these positions, but most importantly where the team needs me. As a Sophomore, I batted in the 3 hole and earned the honor of All-District Infielder. I currently have a 4.0 GPA and plan on graduating high school with 24 college hours. I do not know my specific career plan that I would like to pursue but I am looking into Pre-Med. I am interested in playing in the Southern Region of the United States but would consider anywhere that would offer me a quality education. I understand that getting to play baseball while earning an education to prepare me for my future is most important to me. I can contribute many characteristics to any team like: Leadership, Hard-Work Ethic, Honesty, Trustworthiness, Passion and Complete Dedication to the Job at hand. I am usually the first one on the field and the last one to leave. I look forward to getting to step onto the field and play baseball at any level. I have spent a lot of time learning team oriented aspects and the value of athletics with my dad as one of my high school coaches and Athletic Director.
