My collegiate goals and aspirations are to major in Engineering or Business while continuing my baseball career, and become a dedicated hard-working college student. What makes me a good candidate for your college team is that I am 150% motivated when it comes to my academics accomplishments and excelling athletically. I am different from other recruits around the country because I am a very coachable, humble, and hungry athlete. I am capable of being the leader and a team player all at once. I am an unselfish player and want to see my team succeed, but at the same time, I am confident in my abilities and talent. Athletically I am a great learner, open to learn all that I can about the game, I will listen to what you have to say and I will remember it and apply it in future situations. Academically, my first responsibility is to remain eligible to play so I will take care of my business in the classroom. My high school coach once told me that pressure is a privilege. I decided to take that statement to heart and apply that when I play. I have set short term, achievable goals for my next two years in high school. I aspire to be throwing above 90 mph before my junior year in high school, to have a low ERA, and have a batting average of over .500. I want to help lead my high school team to the State Championship and win before I graduate. I realize how much work that my goals will take to achieve and I am willing and ready to accept the challenge. The farthest planet in the galaxy used to be Pluto. The personal theme I have adopted for the remainder of my high school career is "P.L.U.T.O. the Universe", which stands for "Play Like U are Taking Over the Universe". My long term goal is to be drafted to pitch in MLB. My journey will not be the same as other student-athletes, but my outcome will be what I have set my mind to achieve. Achieving BIG results comes from setting BIG goals.
