I have always been drawn to the game of baseball since I was a small child. I have been blessed with amazing parents who noticed my love for the game and singed me up for baseball. I was six years old and have been playing ever since. My goal is to continue playing at the collegiate level.
I hope to attend a school that will offer both a great baseball program and medical program. This will allow me to continue playing the sport I love while studying to become a pediatrician. Getting into the top five percent of my class is a step in achieving that goal. Baseball is a very humbling sport and I have learned that through perseverance and hard work, I can overcome obstacles and achieve my goals.
I have experienced a few set backs in recent years, from discouraging coaches to injuries that prevented me from playing. But through dedication and a lot of hard work, I have come back stronger and better. Being a catcher has made me a more vocal leader; allowing me the opportunity to encourage my team mates to do their best and push through whatever challenges they are facing.
I am in search of a school that will be a good fit for me athletically and academically. And I believe that my character, work-ethic, and leadership skills will make a valuable asset to that program. I look forward to continuing this incredible journey.
