Tyler Langbein '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Tyler Langbein. I am a senior (Class of 2026) at Ingram Tom Moore High School. I am a catcher, but also play in the outfield as well as second base.  I am also a right-handed pitcher. 

Everybody says they work hard, but I have the experience to prove it.  In August of 2024 (my junior year) I blew out my knee on the first day of football practice.  I had surgery mid-August and was told by the doctor that I would not be playing baseball for nine months.  That was heartbreaking because it would mean missing my high school season.  I was determined to make it back and be there for my team.  I set a goal of making it back for the start of district.  I put in the work with hours and hours of physical therapy.  After passing some very physical tests from the doctor, he released me at 7 ½ months.  That ended up being a few days before our first district game.  I had met my goal.  We won the district championship, and I was named 1^st Team All-District Outfielder.  I also run the 400 for the track team.  Before my surgery my best time was 54.1, after my surgery I ran a 53.8 and made it to Area.  I ran a 6.85 60 yard dash just 10 months after my surgery.  I am continuously working with my trainers to become even bigger, faster and stronger.  

Academically, I want to major in cybersecurity or accounting. I am committed to achieving my goals and the hours I spend each week at practice, in the weight room, or on the field reflects that commitment. I am a team player and a leader.  I love that baseball is hard and competitive, and there is no better feeling than being on the baseball field or in the dugout.
