Ryan Gonzalez '24 Recruiting Profile

 I am a Senior at United High School located in Laredo TX. I've had a passion for baseball since a very young age and all I want is the opportunity to play at the collegiate level. I am confident, I have what it takes to make a meaningful contribution to any baseball program. I have great leadership skills along with a solid work ethic. I am willing to put in the extra effort on the field and in the classroom. 

Coaches have told me that I am coachable, and I am always striving to improve in every aspect of the game. My teammates describe me as honest, eager to lend a helping hand, easy going, and team player.  Through baseball, I have learned the importance of discipline, commitment, and perseverance. These qualities have been instilled in me from a young age by my parents that everything worthwhile in life comes from hard work and dedication. As a catcher, I have also learned to adapt to different environments and situations, which has made me a more versatile and well-rounded individual. 

My academic goal is to obtain an Engineering degree with the possibility of one day playing at the major leagues.
