Andrew Fonte '24 Recruiting Profile

Baseball has been my passion since I was very young. I don't remember a time before baseball.  My drive to compete at the highest level is the source for my relentless work ethic, both on the field and in the classroom. That work ethic is my strongest asset. 

A few years ago, out of necessity,  my coaches put me behind the dish. That's when I found my true position and passion. Since that day, I have excelled as a catcher.  Catching feels natural to me, but hundreds of workouts, bullpen sessions, and a consistent gym schedule are helping to push me to the next level.

I will never forget, When I started catching a coach told me "to be a catcher you have to truly love every part of catching."  I absolutely do!

My goal is to play Division I NCAA Baseball and receive my Bachelor's Degree.
