My parents have always pushed me to do my best in all things. Their desire for me to be successful in all endeavors and their high standards have guided my choices and my work ethic. I started playing baseball at the t-ball level, beginning my love of the game. I continued to play multiple sports, but preferred baseball and began to focus my time on becoming a better baseball player. I started on the Varsity baseball team as a freshman. I felt that was a great accomplishment but I let my nerves get the best of me and my batting suffered from it. Since last year I have overcome the fear at the plate and have moved from the 8th batter in the line- up to the 2nd and my batting average has improved significantly. I have learned that I have great potential. I am able to stay focused during the game. I also have a short memory when I have a bad game, allowing me to assess my failures, regroup and work on areas that need improvement. I want to earn and maintain a 3.8 GPA or Higher, as well as receive a degree in Biology.
I believe I have the talent to compete for a college team, I can talk to anybody, make friends with anyone I meet, coachable, quick learner, focused, eager to reach my full potential, I am incredibly personable and able to work as part of a team. I can play the roles of both leader and teammate. Not only am I a quick learner, but I also take constructive criticism well. I understand that my coaches are trying to keep me focused on always improving and helping me to reach my full potential. When it comes to baseball, I am great at judging the ball and I am a decent switch hitter. I am also quick on my feet and able to make split-second decisions in the heat of the game.
