November 2019Personal Statement
My given name is Tristan, but call me Luke, which is my middle name. My mother says I’ve been in love with baseball since I was big enough to hold a baseball. I’ve been playing on teams since I was 4 and I love it as much now as I did then. I play infield corners and I am a starting pitcher. I love the game so much I can play anywhere, a true utility player, but I’m strongest as infield corner.
I plan to attend school to either become a Physical/Sports Therapist or a teacher/baseball coach. The reason I want to become a Physical Therapist is because a couple years ago we discovered a muscle in my pitching shoulder was not properly developed, so when I pitched it would cause pain in my elbow. With the right doctor and a little physical therapy I was able to pitch again at 100%, and have been pain free since. I would like the opportunity to help assist any other baseball players or athletes who are injured or need development, so they too can continue participating in the sport they love. I just want baseball in my future, however I can get it.
