On June 10, 2017, I completed an exciting sophomore season of baseball by being an every week JV starting pitcher, moving up to Varsity for the playoffs, and topping it off with a dogpile for a Texas 5A State Championship title – the first in our school’s history. As underdogs in most rounds and without notable individual names or college commitments, we succeeded as a cohesive team with starters and reserves knowing and accepting our roles and by supporting one another until the final out.
I have seen first-hand how working for the betterment of the team is much more rewarding than individual achievement. I hope to find a program that meets my academic needs, where I can continue to learn and play the game that I love, and where a teamwork mentality is the norm. I feel that I have the grades, skills, and work-ethic to contribute to any program meeting these objectives, and I ask for your consideration and welcome any information you are able to provide regarding your program.
