I've had a passion for 2 things my entire life... marine life and baseball. When I realized I could earn a scholarship, while playing the sport I love, to attend college for marine biology, my goals became evident. My coaches would say I'm the respectful kid, the helpful, dependable one on the team that tries to lift everyone up and always support. My strength is tracking the ball and my weakness is confidence. I have worked on my confidence building a lot over the years and have really grown and am still working. As far as academics, my teachers would say, I work hard and I work as hard as I have to work to get the job done. I've always struggled, as a dyslexic (504) student, to learn in the typical ways, but I have been able to learn a lot of study tricks over the years to help and I will keep getting the help I need to achieve my goals. As far as character goes, I have quite a few adults in my life who would speak for me and they would say that I am one of the most respectful young men they've ever known, greatest with kids, trustworthy, dependable. I know this to be true because they will stop my parents in the stores to tell them these things about me. I volunteer my time in a class called PALS and it allows me time to spend mentoring an elementary student during the school day, but I will also show up to their baseball games and birthday parties to let them know I'm there for them.
