Going two rounds deep in the playoffs my junior year has been the highlight of my high school baseball career. Although, I feel that competing in four sports for the last three years has helped me grow the most as a student-athlete. Throughout the last three years, I have become to realize that as one of the older guys in our athletic program I have become a leader to most of the guys even though I am more of a silent leader than a verbal one. The way I lead is by example and what I mean by that is I go get my work done in all four of my sports and I try my absolute best to not complain, whether I like it or not. Competing in these four sports is a challenge, mentally and physically, but throughout the last three years I can proudly say that I have helped my athletic program become more unified and more player led than coach fed.
I am fortunate enough to be part of an amazing, well known baseball program. I learned the true meaning of teamwork, I learned that nothing works in life without commitment, and finally I learned how to be an effective leader even if it isn't verbally. I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for me academically as well as athletically. I believe that I have the talent, work ethic, commitment, and character to play for your program.
