Hello,
My name is Cord Copley and I just finished my freshman year (Class of 2023) attending Logos Preparatory Academy in Sugar Land, Texas. I was born on August 12, 2004, in Houston, Texas. I am currently 5'11" and 160 LBS. I throw and bat right-handed. For both my club team and my high school team I have played all over the field, but my primary positions are catcher, pitcher, and shortstop. I work hard to do whatever I can to help my teammates and my team be successful. Although I love playing the game of baseball, it is really working as a team with my teammates that I enjoy most. Since I started playing, I have been blessed with coaches who have pushed me to work hard and maximize my skills and knowledge of the game. They have helped me appreciate not just the physical side of the game, but also the strategic portions. As a catcher, a pitcher, or a batter, there is little I enjoy more than the game within the game of seeing who can outsmart the other. I have been lucky to have great mentors who have invested in me, but I know there will always be more to learn about the game. When I am not playing baseball or not in school I love to fish and hunt with my grandpa. I lift several times a week with my dad or older brother in the off-season, both of whom are avid weightlifters. When it comes to college I have not decided what I would like to study. I have many interests from science to reading, so I am still figuring out what the best fit will be. As far as my most important accomplishments, I played varsity soccer (first year playing) as a freshman this year, and I will be playing varsity baseball this Spring too. This year, my coach has already informed me that I will start at either C, P, or SS at the varsity level. Since I have played up age groups for my club team, I have grown comfortable playing with players older than me. In conclusion, I would like to be known as a hard worker, who loves the strategy of the game, and has been blessed by God with the ability to enjoy the game at a high level. Cord Copley C/O 2023
