Garrett Burke '11 Recruiting Profile

My name is Garrett Burke. I am a freshman at Missouri Valley College in Marshall Missouri. I am starting on the Varsity baseball team as an outfielder, first baseman and a pitcher. I throw and bat left handed. I have been playing baseball since I was 4 years old. In Little League I made All stars every year playing first base. In addition to Little League, I played on select baseball teams The Storm and The Avengers, and was 'picked up' by The Crush when they needed extra players. This past summer I played on a CollegiateTeam the Katy Collegians and improved my stats and skills playing around Texas,Louisiana, Oklahoma and Kansas at various College tournaments. In addition to playing first and pitching, I received the honor of being named 1st team all District for outfield my senior year of high school. My batting is solid as is my on base percentage. My senior year in high school I was also recognized for my batting and was named hitter of the week.  I am very committed to doing whatever it takes to continue to play baseball at the college level and improve my skills. My love for the game of baseball is strong and I am a team player to my core. I hope to obtain a degree in Criminal Justice and I wish to one day join the FBI.
