Summer 2011Personal Statement
I am Tate Williams, a 6'3" Left Handed Pitcher, weighing 180 lbs. I am a senior in the class of 2012 at Kempner High School in Sugar Land, Texas. My senior year will be my third year as a varsity letterman. I received All District pitching honors as a junior. I also play 1st base and outfield.
My goal is to continue playing baseball at a level beyond high school. I am a native of Texas but would consider out of state schools if the opportunity to play baseball was offered. As a junior my role as a starter in the pitching position was complimented by my quickness and pose on the mound. I pride myself in knowing that not only do I have 8 teammates on the field with me, but a dugout of support as well. I love the role of a starting pitcher, but I have also been called on in relief as well. I know I can be an asset to any team.
I am a good student with a GPA currently at 4.54 on a 6.0 scale. I have achieved Academic Excellence as a junior. I am also a member of Student Council.
I look forward to many more opportunities in baseball and hope to excel at the next level.
