I have loved baseball since I was 4 years old and at my first tee ball practice. I wanted to be able to run around the bases as fast as I could and not get out, and grab the ball and tag someone out. I would sleep with my mitt and ball every night. As the years went on and I began coach pitch, I would beg the coach to let me pitch to the other kids. Once I was finally able to play kid pitch I was on the mound, grinning from ear to ear and throwing the ball across the plate. My love for the game grew more and more whenever I was working hard at practice, playing in a game, or playing a baseball game in the middle of the street with my family and friends. Baseball was on my mind and I loved every part of it. The only thing that I wanted to do was play baseball and watch baseball. I would go to the high school and watch all of the high school boys practice, and the coach even let me run bases with them. Rain, Snow, 100 degree weather it didn't matter, I was playing baseball. For my 8th birthday my parents surprised me and took me to my first MLB game. I was in heaven. I wanted to be on that field!! I joined a traveling team when I was 10 and I have played with them ever since. They are my second family. I not only love the game of baseball, I love the friendships and all of the opportunities that have came with it. One of my favorite things on the baseball field is hearing the sound of the ball come off the bat, and the sound of my pitch hitting the catcher glove. Baseball is a team sport and nothing makes me more happy than celebrating a success of one of my team mates. I am often pointed out by others by also congratulating the other teams members on great plays, and hits, even if they come from my pitches. My first year of high school baseball has been an amazing experience. I played one game on the Freshman team, and the varsity coach immediately moved me up to start varsity at a 3rd baseman and pitcher. I loved every minute of it. I was honored to be selected to play in the Undergrad All-Star game being a Freshman playing with Juniors. I was so surprised as they announced my name over the microphone as the teams MVP of the game. I am looking forward to working hard and finishing my High School year strong and move onto the next chapter in my life of college baseball.
