Baseball has been an important part of my life and I hope to play in college as a student athlete. I would like to be a part of a competitive college baseball program where I can work hard and have fun. I take baseball very seriously and give it 100%. My travel coach is never surprised to find me at the cages practicing on my own. My high school knows I want to win and contribute to the success of the team. Over the years I have made established friendships with many of my teammates. I have been fortunate to be on several good travel teams where everyone got along both on and off the field. As an only child, being part of a team has been like having brothers.
High School has been challenging. My teachers would say that I am a hard worker. I take care of my academic responsibilities and get good grades. Academically, I am still trying to figure out my major. I really like my economics course and will take AP economics as a senior. I also like my history and science classes. There are so many options, it is hard to decide. This past summer I visited several colleges while playing in baseball tournaments. They ranged in size from big universities to small colleges and were mostly in the mid-Atlantic area. Though I am not sure where I see myself, I know I want to stay on the east coast. I definitely want to go to a school that offers a variety of activities, majors and experiences. So far a mid to smaller size college has been more appealing than a super large university.
Outside of school and baseball, I enjoy watching basketball. I also like to play basketball and soccer for fun. I play video games and hang out with my dogs. During the winter I enjoy skiing. My family goes to Colorado each year to ski over winter break and I have gotten pretty good. During the summer I play baseball, go to the Nationals games with my family and spend time at the beach in Florida with my grandparents.
