Hi my name is John Best and I am a left handed pitcher. My goal is to pitch at the collegiate level and excel. I have kept good grades through my life and love competing in everything I do. Definite college prospect. Outstanding LHP, pounds the zone with a 3 pitch mix. Commands all 3 pitches. Throws a heavy fastball with a loose, easy arm action. Throws downhill with polished mechanics. Huge upside, could be special with added velocity. Focus on J Bands and long toss. Drags a little on backside, could use more lower half. Could be a D1 prospect with the right guidance. Takes good angles in the outfield, gets behind fly balls, throws with accuracy. Naturally athletic. Try to be quicker with exchange to throw. Stay low and play through ball, can get a little high at times. Really nice swing. Strong base, nice controlled load, nice short path. Hits with smooth rhythm. Still lean, work hard in weight room to continue adding bat speed. Really nice approach! Lefty/lefty is a very desirable trait for college coaches.
