My name is Dominant True Master Turner. I am currently a senior in the class of 2022 at Maggie L. Walker Governors School in Richmond Virginia.
I have been playing baseball for about nine years. From tee-ball to little league to travel baseball to middle school baseball and now high school baseball. I attended Fairfield Middle School and was in the International Baccalaureate program and a member of the National Junior Beta Club. I maintained straight A's while playing baseball (school & travel). In my 6th grade year I didn't start but I worked hard and became a starter in the 7th and 8th grade. In the 7th grade I was honored to receive the Golden Glove award and the Stellar Student Athletes Straight A's Award. Having great success in the classroom and on the baseball field my 8th grade year; I was honored again with the Stellar Student Athletes Straight A's Award and the Golden Glove Award. Also, I participated in the Capital One Coding after-school program. At the end of the program was a C1 Coders App Challenge, my partner and I received first place honors for the Best App Award.
Having played baseball for many years and my hard work and dedication to the sport led to being named a starter on the varsity baseball team my freshman season. Throughout my first three years at Maggie Walker, I found myself playing 7 different positions, all except catcher and first base. I have primarily played up the middle, including CF. To stay active during the fall/winter I joined the indoor track team. I compete in the Long jump, 300m Dash, 4x400m Relay, and the 4x200m Relay.
Coming from a family where education is a priority college is absolutely in my future. Along with receiving a quality education, I would like to play collegiate baseball and perhaps pursue baseball professionally. From a little boy that has been my dream; being in the dugout, hearing the crowd in anticipation of running on the field to start a World Series game.
