John Spivey '22 Recruiting Profile

I am a 2022 pitcher/utility player.  I have 3 pitches currently and prior to the COVID delay I was in a velocity training program and improved my speed by 10 mph to 84.   If I am not on the mound, you can find me in the outfield or on 3rd base.  I am starting my Senior year at Varina High School and my GPA is 3.3.  I am interested in majoring in the sciences at a college/university of my choice.  I plan on following in my parents footsteps and pursuing a career as a firefighter.  This summer I got my lifeguard certification and worked at the local community pool.   I have always dreamed of playing sports at the collegiate level.  I have played baseball since I was 4 years old.  In addition to baseball,  I play Varsity football (long snapper).  Besides sports, I enjoy being outdoors hunting or fishing.
