Zachary Herzog '23 Recruiting Profile

I’m Zach Herzog, a student athlete seeking to play baseball at the college level.   I am a versatile athlete, who plays multiple positions from Rixeyville, VA.  I attend Woodberry Forest School (WFS), an academically rigorous all-boys boarding school in central Virginia.  I am in the class of 2023 and my GPA is 3.85.  In my freshman year of high school, I made the varsity baseball team.  As a sophomore, I am the starting shortstop.  For the past two summers, I have played travel baseball with the Invaders Baseball organization out of Charlottesville, VA.  With the Invaders, I split time between SS and centerfield.  I also pitch for WFS and the Invaders.

I am looking for a school that is academically challenging and is strong in science, technology, and engineering.  Athletically, I would like to be able to make an impact in any way possible. I believe that my best fit would be a high academic school, regardless of division.  At this time, staying on the east coast is preferred as this would allow my family to visit and watch me play ball.
