Cooper Bush '26 Recruiting Profile

I am in the class of 2026 at Grafton High School in Yorktown, VA. I started playing baseball when I was 5 and fell in love then and there. In high school, I am working towards my advanced diploma to prepare me for the rigors of college, although I'm not sure what field I want to study yet.  I earned a starting spot in both 8th grade on my middle school team and 9th grade on the JV team.  As a sophomore I got limited time behind the plate only catching three games and pitched 11 innings on varsity. I was in the DH role for a good part of the season hitting .308. I am now competing for a starting spot at catcher and trying to maintain my innings on the mound as a junior. Baseball has taught me discipline and leadership skills.  It has improved my communication skills from coaching younger athletes and talking to baseball parents, players, and coaches at all levels. I'm looking to play collegiately somewhere that I can maximize my athletic potential with a great group of guys as well as prepare myself for my future after baseball.
