I’ve been playing soccer since kindergarten. It is the only organized sport I have ever played. I have wanted to play soccer at the college level since about the age of 10. I have always thought what an amazing opportunity to do something I love while at college.
When you get to know me, you will find out that I am very coachable, always looking for ways to improve my game. I work hard to maintain and increase my leg strength. I can effectively handle a ball while looking around the field for the perfect pass, through-ball, cross, or score. My teammates have elected me captain of my travel soccer team for the last three years. In that role, I try to lead by example and encourage my teammates to be the best they can be also.
I am in the top of my high school class of 257 students. I work hard to maintain a grade point average near 4.4 out of 4.0. I choose to take advanced and AP classes. I am not satisfied with just getting by. I give 100% to each assignment. I am a Girl Scout that has earned my Gold Award, the highest award a Girl Scout can earn which can be compared to the Eagle Scout Award in Boy Scouts. As a Girl Scout I have continued to volunteer in my community.
I am looking for a college that will challenge me academically and on the soccer pitch. I want to find the right college at the highest level of competition that will allow be to be successful. I want to continue being a leader and role model for my peers.
