Baseball has been good to me. It was my life and my rock. Since I started playing six years ago, there were a lot of changes, relocations and transfers happened physically and one thing has always been consistent: Baseball.
I am multi-position player.I would say this is my best asset in a team and hopefully my pathway to my dream in playing College ball.
I started playing baseball in the Little League in 2012-2013, I started as a pitcher and eventually became a catcher in one of my All-Star games in 2014 and became the main catcher in that same year. I started playing in Bulldog’s travel team in 2015 as a 2nd or 3rd baseman and catcher. In 2016, I joined the Crimson Cubs as a 3rd baseman, catcher and in 2017 as Freshman, I became a starter outfielder in my High School’s Junior Varsity Team. I continued with travel team and 2016-2018 I also started pitching aside from playing as infielder and catcher. In 2018,Crimson Cubs joined Prospects United club and our team became Prospects United- Showcase team. This year, I continue to play with Prospects United.
In all of my experiences, I developed a good foundation of speed and strength in handling the ball as being a team player. Not only I was able to develop some of the fundamental skills as a great player, I was able to develop into being a trainable, versatile and agile athlete in this sport that I can use in any aspects of my life. As a young baseball athlete, I know that I am still not in my best shape but I am working on to be the best version of myself not only as an athlete and a team mate but also as a student, brother and a son to my family.
I am grateful for my parents for always supporting me and finding a way for them to support me in my passion in playing baseball. We have moved to different areas, met new faces, made new friends and team mates, but whenever I play, the field seems to be the only place that I belong.
I look forward to continually grow and learn and be better player.
