Personal Statement

Baseball is a game that teaches life skills. It is through the game that I have learned determination, focus, perseverance, and the importance of preparation. It is also through the game that I have learned the meaning of teamwork. I see my teammates as an extension of myself. Their success is my success and their failure is my failure; we cannot win as individuals.  I have applied these life skills not just to my athletic pursuits, but to academic and public service activities as well.

My collegiate baseball goals are to compete at a high level and work diligently with my coaches and teammates to achieve a winning season and championship. As a player, you will find that I am methodical and focused.  Because of this, I am composed and perform well under pressure. I am goal-oriented and tenacious about reaching my individual and team goals.

Academically, I am a 4.0 student ranked #1 in my class currently attending Grays Harbor College full- time as a running start student.  I am on track to earn my high school diploma as well as an Associate of Science degree and an Associate of Arts degree by the end of my high school senior year in June 2021.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
