Dear Coach,
I currently play at Liberty High School in Spangle, Washington and for the Crew team out of Spokane Washington. I will be a sophomore at Liberty High School and plan to graduate in 2020. I am currently maintaining a 3.5 GPA.
I am 5 foot 10 inches tall, and love to pitch, play shortstop, and catcher. Last season I was a starting pitcher for Liberty high school, I averaged around 9 strikeouts a game as a freshman, and also played a lot of infield and, played catcher at times, my top fastball velocity is about 78, my best pitch I throw is my curve ball I throw a 12-6 breaking ball. Over last season I ended the year with a batting average just over .300. I honestly think I am still growing as an athlete and I will grow so much in the next few years and on the field.
I’m hoping you or one of your assistants might watch me play and see if I may be a good fit for your program. I would love to visit your campus and would look forward to meeting with you further to discuss your baseball program. Best of luck this spring and thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Jake Carr
