My goal in playing the game of baseball is to play at the collegiate level. I have always worked hard to keep taking strides to achieve that goal by doing various things. For example, pitching twice a week during the off-season or getting a 90-minute lift in 3-4 times a week. I achieve A's and B's in the classroom, while playing 2 sports, and juggling outside of school activities. I am have a larger frame, standing at 6'4", and weighing in at 205 lbs. I have a strong work ethic in the classroom and the field. I am capable of handling adversity, when it comes to sports and school.
One of the biggest adversities that I have had to overcome, was making a travel team going into my sophomore year. Previously, I have only played for a local club team, and I never really had the experience to make a bigger travel team. I did not tryout for a team freshman year. That ended up backfiring when the COVID-19 shut down happened. I realized that I needed to be on a team if I wanted to play college baseball. The odds were against me. I have not seen live pitching since I played with a local club team my 8th grade year. I worked all summer, and ended up making Prospect Training Academy, out of Oak Creek, Wisconsin, as a Pitcher Only. I worked all off-season, not only at pitching, but at hitting too. After my summer going into junior year, I decided to join GTS, out of Elkhorn, Wisconsin, as a two-way player. I feel like that will help me not only hit better, but pitch better too.
I believe my strong work ethic, ability to overcome adversity, my athletic ability, and my competitive fire, could make a strong asset to your 2023 roster!
