I feel no other sport compares to football and the feeling you get when you strap on that helmet! I have been playing tackle football since I was 9 years old and I am passionate about playing collegiate football. Playing football taught me several life lessons to use on and off the field. I learned the importance of staying focused every game and not worrying about the outcome. Distractions change your mental focus therefore change your game. Losing strengthened me to work hard and not give up. Always striving to improve and push myself to be better. Being on a team allowed me to understand the importance of effective teamwork in order for success. It takes a positive player and optimism to influence those around you to change the frame of mind. Off the field, volunteering at youth football practice allows me to be a leader, better the youth, and improve their game. I am empowered knowing I am making a difference. Football taught me I cannot control everything in life, but I can control to conduct myself in a respectful manner on and off the field which reflects my team, my coaches, and my school. I am a team player with a great work ethic. I believe I would be an influential player on your team! I will strive to make a difference!
