Brock Henkel '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Brock Henkel. I am a Senior at Fennimore High School in Fennimore WI. I play baseball and my primary position is first base and my secondary position is corner outfield. 

I have been playing baseball since the time I could swing a bat. It's what I've wanted to do my entire life. My dream of playing at the collegiate level started when I was playing in my hometown Little League program in the 3rd grade. Playing baseball in college would be an opportunity of a lifetime for me. 

I work hard both on and off the field. I treat practice as if it were a game, I want my hard work to reflect at all times, not just during a game. I have high baseball IQ, I am a team player who gives positive encouragement to my teammates by being a team leader. Baseball has taught me to be accountable, work hard for what I want, and to push myself to the best of my abilities. When I'm not on the field or at practice, I'm either in the gym lifting or at the facility working on my batting.

I played Little League in my hometown for six years, played travel ball for three years and now am currently playing on the 19U Legion team. I play on my Varsity football and baseball teams. This summer I'm also playing for a Home Talent team in my area which consists of all college baseball players. Being a part of this team has given me the chance to play with and against college players of higher competition. I have learned mental toughness, perseverance and what hard work and dedication can get you. 

I study hard while maintaining a high GPA. I made the honor roll all three years so far of High School. I do volunteer work with some local youth Little League players by giving them batting and fielding lessons. I also help out during the Little League season by umping games and other volunteer work when needed.

I want to find a college that is the right fit for me both in academics and baseball.
