Baseball has been my favorite sport since I was 4. I have always tried to compete at the highest level of baseball in Wisconsin over the years. I have been on some great teams like Merton Mavericks, Sticks, and GRB. On these teams, I have always had to compete against others at my positions because I am always the youngest on the team. This is hard for me but I have managed to overcome this by working hard in the off-season and practicing baseball all the time because I love the game and love to compete. By working hard in the off-season my numbers and skills in baseball have been improving year by year.
Besides baseball, you may want to know who my main influencers are. My mom and dad have influenced me every day to make sure my homework is done, to study, get good grades, and play baseball. They make sure everyone can be there to show support in my school or sports. One thing I learned about myself is that I am never satisfied with anything I do because I always see that next step. I will be happy but I will still want to be 1 mph faster, have better at-bats, and think what was my mistake in the field or while pitching. Even in the classroom, I am trying to get my GPA above 3.5. That has been a goal for me since freshman year. Overall Baseball has taught me to strive to be better every day whether I am in the classroom or on the field. It has taught me to be there for my family and teammates, how to deal with problems in life, and my work ethic.
